I like how everything is muted in color and then pow, blue and a nice bright red for the mouth.
Theres some sort of visual tension with the left side of the face and the background which isn't that aesthetically pleasing to me. I think its the light on light aspect of it. The face sort of blurs between the background
I like the texture of it. And there's some great line work.
It all seems a bit controlled for my liking but maybe in context with the other series it might make sense.
Id like it to be more mixed media and textural and I suppose more drawn physically or more worked rather, thats more my own personal taste...it just seems halfway there. But that's the problem with a digital image.
Scale is important and this would seem to work very small as opposed to being very large. Although that might work too.

I love it! It is a heart-wrenching, captivating and beautiful image. When I look at this image I imagine a pre-teen in turmoil. He doesn't really know who he is and he is bullied at school. He's depressed and tries to find comfort in humor. This weighs him down, and he becomes even more sad.
I would love to exhibit it on my blog. Of course I would mention your name as the artist and link the artwork to your deviantArt profile page. What do you say? Basically, my blog will serve as your art gallery. Let me know.
