Very nice use of light and composition. The amount of space covered by this shot is quite amazing; from the clouds to the mountains to the hills to the river, the glory of the entire scene is immediately striking.
I feel as if the cloud floating in the mid-right area of the image nicely puts the scene into perspective, as having such a low cloudline conveys a rather grand sense to the landscape.
The minimalistic use of that patch of light adds a great focal point to the image, highlighting the flat plain of grass and the river very nicely, along with the light that emanates from the mountains.
The way the darkness shrouds the remainder of the image gives a more ominous sense to the landscape - the tall mountain faces and steep hill angles appear very confronting.
Though, again, with that light emerging from the clouds and shining on the plain it's almost like the scene's true beauty is being exposed; at first the image appears dark and rather daunting but with the sliver of light exposing a heavenly landscape, suddenly the image becomes very serene and quite beautiful. It's a surprise to see such a nice landscape admist the darkness.
Again, truly stunning use of scale and a wonderful coverage of the entire landscape. Awesome shot!
