*edit* Apparently this is the name of a book or something (I don't know) Anyway this has nothing to do with anything else by that name... I'm laughing at myself for thinking the title was original.
I just drew this one day, I'm not completely sure why.
My cousin loves alchemy maybe that's where I got the idea... even though I don't know if alchemy even uses tubes and jars and viles so forgive me.
Inspired by Tomie de Paola's work, specifically I drew it after looking through Strega Nona.
For once I was able to just draw something without feeling the need to make a story for it
It took me longer to shade and highlight this piece then actually drawing and coloring it.

I know I've said this before, but I adore your style. I love all the little details you put into the backgrounds of your pieces, and the colors you choose always complement each other. Every line is clean and sharp, and gives the piece an over-all professional appearance. You'd make a fantastic graphic designer.
And correct me if I'm mistaken, but do I see a Tycho Brahe nose?

Ahhh thank you so much! I don't know why I never tried to be a graphic designer, as I'm much better at still drawings than animating.
I don't have much of a memory for history (or anything learn-ed) but I'm not sure I've ever heard about him. I had to look up Tycho Brahe, and his nose story is pretty intense, I can see why you'd think it was it does look like his nose! I wish I had known about him because of his connection to alchemy and that would have been SO perfect... I'm going to lie and tell everyone I did it on purpose! HAHA! I named her Magdalene now after one of his daughters
