Description As many of you Supernatural fans know, our show got voted onto the cover of TV Guide. YAY! Right? The only bad point I saw with this is the cover TV Guide went with...

Here it is: Official TV Guide Cover

Um, excuse me? That doesn't look anything like the show. It is too bright, too colorful, and Dean is in a TEAL GREEN shirt. WTF? Well, I wasn't the only one disappointed with the cover, TheTVAddict.com weren't that happy with it, either. So, they decided to put on a contest for fans to design the kind of cover they would have liked to have seen. The winner gets a Blu-ray of Season Four.

Needless to say, I took up the challenge. TheTVAddict provided a simple template, of which I only kept the TV Guide logo and the '5 Million Voted' seal. I also kept the text they used on the original cover, but changed the fonts.

Obviously they weren't. That original one is horrible. they look too air-brushed!! it don't look right so I hope you win! ^-^ And I'm happy that Supernatural won in the first place XD

Oh, hell yes.

First time I saw the SPN TV guide cover, I was so mesmerized by the color that I didn't even notice is was SPN. And then I was like, "WTF?"
And it was so airbrushed. Sam and Dean do not need help to look gorgeous. I dislike the implication that they do.

Thanks so much!! And I absolutely agree. Jensen and Jared do NOT need to be touched up. And SERIOUSLY, the characters of Dean and Sam REALLY don't need the airbrushing. They are as gritty and natural of characters that you can get.

I would agree with you. I don't really like the cover of the TV giude. It is too colorful and it doesn't really look like them anyway. Well, it does but not really. You know what I mean....I think...

ROFL I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw the cover and went "BZUH?!" O_O I knew they weren't going to use the picture they had on the voting page--which is sad because it was awesome--and included Misha--but this new one is ridiculous. Has the person who designed it ever heard even a tiny BLURB about the show? Yours is so much more in keeping with the show's actual dark nature and I *LOVE* it! Here's hoping you win! x o.o x

LOL Thanks! And yeah, I think one of the descriptions of the cover was it is to 90210-ish. That nails it. New or old 90210. Were they trying to make Jensen look like Jason Priestly?

Maybe Tv Guide will read all the disappointment about the picture they used and make a new cover. Don't really expect them too but who knows.
