Description
This is a representation of the element 'earth'.The branches do not encase this creature, rather, they are him. They do not hinder him. Instead, they move with him, are a part of him, as he is a part of them. They surround, support and protect him. When not in motion, he will root himself to the ground to gather energy and to secure himself.

This took a very long time to make. But I'm quite proud of the result! It's probably the best photoshopped painting I've ever done. I learned a lot while doing it, and am getting a bit more confident with photoshop. And on top of that, it was lots of fun to do--- creating a creature and colouring and the whole bit.
I've nicknamed him "Bushbear". The original sketch can be found at [link] .Anyways, this is my entry for and 's element contest.

Phew... it was over a year ago... I would assume 25-30 hours. Quite some time. Ive sped up a bit since then.

Lol. I do see the creepy aspect, I tried to tone it down in the work with pastel colours. It could be much worse. Im glad you like it.

Thanks! I really love trees and branches. They seem like such a protective and strong element to me. Plants are strong, but gentle. They adapt to their environment. I feel that I would be comfortable surrounded by branches. Very safe. So it made sense to me!
