Could be season depression? Less sun plus the expectation that everything be bright and cheery and wonderful when reality falls short... I don't know. December for me, for the last decade, is filled with such long work hours its hard to feel anything but tired.

I think you might be onto something. I mean, I used to LOVE the winter, but nowadays it makes me so sad. When spring comes around, I always feel much better. Maybe it IS the sunlight (but also the happy cheery holidays where nothing works out the way its supposed to).
I hope you had a good christmas despite the long work hours! I know the holidays is your busy season, but I hope you got some downtime anyway!

I don't even remember what Christmas was like. The long work hours are over, but I have a cold for Easter too. Holidays are just kinda "meh" now. I need to get back to drawing someday soon since I literally haven't drawn anything in months...

Interesting story for your drawing.
I guess everyone has a sad holiday. Mine are usually Valentines and Mother's Day (I'm single, and my mom died). I tend to like Christmas more for the giving and family part.
