Love the details. The Plantman poster, the picture of the two of them, what I'm guessing is a Static poster (lol, ego stroking! I can totally see Richie getting that for him for Christmas/birthday as a joke), the sodas, the stuff strewn all over the floor. And the cuddling. So sweet. I read the fic, btw, and commented over there (WhoGeek there) and both are just so good. It's sad that Richie's dad can't accept him, but it fits with the way he was depicted in the show. Poor Richie. At least he's still got Virgil and his family.

thats a GREAT idea. I bet richie would give it to him on christmas, as a joke. virgil, richie, and mr hawkins could have a good ol laugh about it.

Hey, it's not bad for someone who doesn't do a lot of writing. The important thing is that it conveys the right emotions.
I think his dad would *try* to be accepting. It wouldn't be easy for him, but he'd do it, because Richie *is* his son, and he's already been shown before that some of his beliefs aren't right.

eh, its no problem. the actual picture is...friggin huge. I usually have my stuff at half the size, so people can download it and see the bigger details, but honestly, who ACTUALLY does that?

I can't make my pictures too big on my computer, or it freezes and crashes on me >_> the computer is over 5 years old.

whenever my PS just freezes on me, I take that as a sign that I am not meant to finish whatever i am doing and I just scrap it.

I know that professional artists use 600 dpi for printing. But If I try to make my pictures anything higher than 200dpi, my computer will give me a warning message to tell me this is "unnecessary" and to choose a smaller size. If I ignore it, it freezes/crashes. Same goes for anything over 1,000 pixels wide or high. Computer has attitude.
That's why, for my birthday (in April) I'm getting a new one.

and anyway, could you really imagine richies dad being cool with his homosexuality? if he has an issue with V being black, Im pretty sure homosexuals arent on his 'favorite people' list.

I know what's wrong with his foot. And you're going to hate me when I tell you...
It's backwards. The big toe always is on the inside. I assume his arm is leaning on his knee. Which makes that the other leg... which makes it backwards.
Their faces are good though, Richie doesn't have a kid face this time
Its OK that its that dark, except the lightning would be much brighter. Even from a distance.
The soft lighting falling on Richie is well done, as is the shading on the soda cans. I really love how their hair is smooshed together. Yay, cuddling.

I can fix it for you. You simply have to select the area around the foot, "copy" it, "paste" it, then "mirror" it. Then smudge away the bad edges. check your e-mail.

usually, I like to leave mistakes in my stuff, so when I look back, I can laugh to myself and reflect on my improvement.

there's water ripples on the ledge, water running off the ledge, water pouring out of the gargoyles mouth... but no rain in the air.
I look back on the quality of it now, years later, and wonder how it got over 200 favs... I really need to fix it...

that, was a mindfuck. I mean, had you not told me I would have just shrugged it off as you doing it on purpose, its still good art!!
also, I totally used a rain brush for this one. you know you can find great brushes all over DA right?
its a little more difficult if you don't have PS though, but some kind people do upload PNG files!
see! its that whole 'looking back and reflecting' thing! doesn't it make you all warm and fuzzy to know you improved?

I would do that...use rain brushes, except you have to make each brush in psp7 and its a pain (oh how I wish I could afford photoshop). Now that I have a tablet, I'll just fix it by hand one day.
