Snowstorm on its way,
Early release for today.
Icy, frozen lake,
For snowmobiling it is great.
Three teens are tempted,
They race until dark.
Fate was bad,
Everyone is sad.
What a wonderful boy,
In the close-knit school.
What will the future hold.
For the other rider?
Two snowmobiles speeding directly towards each other,
They collide head on.
The other boy witnesses all of this,
Everyone is in shock.
Everyone is in denial,
In this small town.
The result is the penalty of,
No helmets,
No protective gear.
One death, the other in critical care,
Such bad news to hear.
