Description Heya guys. Sorry for not submitting much lately. It's just that I've been working nonstop for 6 days a week this entire month. Pretty soon I will get a break though, I hope.
Anyway though, this is a completion of an old picture I started working on in the summer of last year. I was finally inspired to complete it.

I was initially inspired to make the pic after lurking on the James Vega thread back on the Bioware forums a long while back. It was an idea of James Vega having a pet cat named Sergeant Whiskers. Then I saw this pic: [link] which further inspired me to make a pic.
Then, shortly after, I found this story: [link] which was such a beautiful, inspirational story written by an amazing and talented author, [link] and is also based on that thread.
Then recently I saw this pic: [link] which really inspired me to complete this. So, if you haven't read the story or seen the fan pics of Vega and Sgt. Whiskers, please take a look. Help spread this meme!! I want to see cute, orange kitties in ME3.

Anyway, sorry about the quality of the pic. Full view for the best look at it. I know it doesn't look like Vega at all, but oh well. I probably made him cuter than the one in the game, lol. I know it's also anatomically incorrect on many levels. But you know me....too lazy to fix anything. I probably will not spend any more time on this. I'm too tired to think anymore.

he is like the Anders of Mass effect lol. This is awesome buddy. and I am overwhelmed by the details and the textures. like his skin texture and his tattoo I sadly can't remember who this fellow is though. was he off one of the add on games? Plus the kitten is adorable, you always draw the furry creatures so cutely lol. Also the colours used are very fitting for the mass effect game environment. I see you even got the little reflection of the cats paw.

Oh and I read the story. It brought tears to my eyes. He was so nice to that little boy, he would make a good daddy lol. Oh and a good daddy to Sergeant Wiskers that cat I think was lucky to to be found by him, plus it was good that kid could get an Honorable burial

Indeed. He is exactly like that. Thanks buddy. I appreciate it. Vega is the new squadmate for Mass Effect 3. Basically, he is this no nonsense marine type, who gets into a lot of fights with people. Almost like a human version of a krogan. At the beginning of Mass Effect 3, he is assigned as Shepard's bodyguard, but he ends up caught up in the story, and follows Shepard around as an NPC. Awws. Thanks buddy. Ooh, you noticed that. I'm glad someone noticed the reflection.

I totally agree!! If Bioware doesn't add this soft side to James' character, I will be really sad. I am definitely waiting to romance him in the third game. In fact, I have a loveless Shepard lined right up for him. But yeah, you're right. That kid really did fight and die honorably just as any true war hero.

oh boy Mass effect is looking really good. Only a couple of months to wait, then it is by by society for a little while again. Oh and I checked out Vega and the guy who does his voice, very neat. I like what he had to say about really caring for your characters. that is what I have liked all throughout the series. Yeah it would be so neat to see that softer side of him too. Every animal and cat lover would really appreciate it too.

Oh I know! I hope that Vega will be the next Kaidan.
I'm only a bit disappointed that we can only see him in one game. I'll bet he has an amazing back story. I can't wait to have long, drawn out conversations with him.
But yeah. When you think about it, you see all of these alien creatures, but no Earth animals at all. I sure hope that we will be able to see some Earth animals. And I hope that with Shepard's robo dog, there could be a real dog option too, lol.

that is very true. Oh he very well could be there is one thing you can count on that is, once the Mass effect three game comes out there is gonna be alot of fan art to follow. I bet there will lots of Vega
Hey have you ever seen the movie Alien with the main character Ellen Riply and her ginger cat [link] scariest movie when I was a kid but it was very nice to see an Earth animal once in a while lol.
So shepard has a robo dog? Oh that would be neat. It would be awesome too if you could pic the type. I would make it a ridgeback like my Tootsie lol

Oh yeah! You are definitely right about that. I've been playing Mass Effect from the first game again. I think that this time, I might actually get all of the achievements for the first game before beating it. Then again, I really want to take my time with it this time, so I can absorb all the details.
Yeah. I remember watching that movie once when I was a kid. For some reason I forgot about the kitty cat, lol. I do remember the alien coming out of her stomach, lol. That was totally freaky.
Hehe, yep. Shepard will have a robo dog in the third one....at least in the collector's edition. Dunno about the basic one. I know. I wish there could be dog potions like in Fable 2 and 3. Although, I'll admit, I absolutely loved the robo dog in Fable 3. But yeah, a Ridgeback would be really awesome! I just want my usual breed of choice...Husky, hehe.

Huskys are beautiful dogs lol. they are so pretty. Ridgebacks with their mohawks are like little punks but yeah, I think the ginger cat has made a name for itself in alien si fi flicks lol so it should continue with Vega lol. with its own unique circumstances like story you showed me. I had nightmares from the alien movie for years to come, but now I just think it is an awesome story of survival. Oh man wouldn't it be so awesome if they made a movie on mass effect.. er hem. . . .anyways only one month to go.. . .sort ta

Yep...they are almost like wolves, which is why I love them so much. Haha! They have mohawks too? Now I want one, lol. Ooh, you are right. There was a ginger cat in the Star Trek Next Generation series too, I think. So, it would make sense, I'm thinking. Although I still can't look at a ginger cat without thinking of Puss in Boots....or Simba(random, I know) lol. Yeah, I had nightmares from movies like that one too. I had many nightmares from the movie, Close Encounters, when I was 4, lol. Especially from the scene where the aliens are trying to break into the house. Also, after watching the movie, Signs, I was wary about venturing into my attic, lol. But yeah, you're right. They were supposed to come out with a Mass Effect movie this year: [link] but I'm thinking they must have scrapped it or something. I really hope they do though. And yeah, I can't wait until Valentine's Day, when the demo finally comes out. I'm gonna be playing the crap out of it, lol. Also, I bought the latest novel for my Kindle, just to stall the time until then, lol.

Aww, hehe. The weird thing about the rubber chicken we have is not only does it look terrifying, but it makes a horrible sound like some screaming bloody murder after being strangled or a dying animal, lol. All of our animals would freak out like they're thinking "What kind of animal is this?"
Indeed. I did play the demo. Oh no! I know there are other places that host the file for the demo. If it still doesn't work for you, I'd be happy to find it and send it to you in a zip file or something. But then again, I don't know how PC games work. I guess you would have to register the demo on the main download site. I dunno. The demo isn't really all that great. It's pretty much the exact same thing as that beta release video that came out a few months ago. If you haven't seen that, you can always look up youtube videos too. I had watched the beat video so many times, that I already had the whole demo memorized word for word, and really didn't even have to play it, lol.

Oooh, that is so cute!! Now I see how they got their name. Hehe, she sounds like such a loyal, playful doggie. And don't worry...I had a Corgie and Rat Terrier once, who were scared of a squawking rubber chicken...I mean, completely petrified. Same with my cat....but he's scared of everything, lol. I have played the demo. It was awesome. I played it on my Xbox with a Kinect, and it just felt so awesome to actually bark out orders to my squadmates. Sadly, the demo was very short though. It takes usually no more than 30 minutes to complete. Still, a nice way to experience combat firsthand.

lol oh my dog loves anything that squawks but that is understandable since the rubber chicken would have been as big as the little rat terrier lol. ooooooh so you played the demon. I could probable down load the demo on my pc couldn't I. I must look into that. don't know what I am doing wrong, but when I try to get the demo it seems to take me to the pre order page. but thats ok I can wait another month.. Gulp.
