Those are hands down my favourite mice. I just love how they sit around, round and puffy and their little trunk wobbles around, it's just awfully adorable!

Shrews are very neat. One of my favorite memories from a biology field job I did is watching a shrew running around for about 10 minutes, an arm's length from my face. It wasn't bothered by me at all, and I could have reached out and touched it - though that would have made it run away, so I didn't.
It was in a lull between the mistnetting and birdbanding I was there to do.

They are awfully cute! I also think their name suits them so well...it sounds kind of odd, but still makes you think of something tiny and cute somehow.
