Painting of my friend and musician, Dave Williams.8x10 Oil on Canvas Board
First time I've ever tried to painting with this technique...much more freedom in the color selections and brush strokes. I really enjoyed working on this piece and think I will try this style some more.

Thank you so much!! This was truly one of the easiest pieces I've ever enjoyed working on... everything just came together and it was like I was just watching myself do it... need more moments like that!!

Jazz and blues IS loose and spontaneous; you definitely portray the feeling and rhythm of whats going on. I really like it.

Thank you!!! It was one of the first times I tried to paint "loose" and I was amazed at how well it came out and how easy it was to do... the moment of zen.
