Welp, it's that time again, Inktober. The last time I tried was back in 2019. But after a bit of mulling, I've decided to try this year...maybe. However, as it was last time, I've decided to do the weak route and, well, do it weekly (ideally on Thursdays), as doing it every day is much too much for me. Beginning on day 5 with "Map".

Part of the difficult thing was figuring out what to draw with such a prompt while also overthinking how to make it more spectacular than I should. After pondering almost all day I settled comfortably enough with just a random map and drew out a thumbnail drawing to help give myself a rough idea: sta.sh/01kasvfcgh0w

In the interest of adding some flair to the map, I wanted to add some tears along the edges. But being ink I couldn't erase sections of the lines and add in details, so I had to simultaneously draw out the shape of the paper while also adding in the tears as I went. Well...it went about as expected... Well, I tried to save face a little.

That failure aside, I more or less ad-libbed out the rest of the map, having a D&D-like adventure map in mind, not really caring since the map edges turned it into crap anyway. Surprisingly, I actually had some fun semi-scribbling around and thinking of what to do and where to put things. I wanted the map to look a little busy, but I certainly didn't want to overdo it.
