I've had this as a WIP for the past month and just finished it yesterday, GG me!
So I wants to draw something related to sweets that also included a theme of darkness in it, at first I was going to draw a clown with sweets in the whole theme but I have a huge fear of clowns so I discarded that!
Then I came up with this idea of a sugar skull – skeleton! I wanted to give this guy a candy coat, a coat that had assorted candy on it but it went out as a total fail and did the whole thing again, and this time it came out simpler and better!

Things that inspired me to make this drawing was a drawing that I saw which also had a candy theme, for the design of the skeleton it was Itward from the game 'Fran Bow' as well as the characters from The Book of Life. I also tried to add in some steampunk feel to the drawing.
