Description Dead town

Illustration for the episode "the Rusty Town" I'm currently working on.
Background practice as well.
Characters (left-right): Orest and Haalo Reney, Jaren Rain, Alai Grey.

"This town is full of iron, guys. Breathless metal. The only living creatures here are we: thieves, smugglers, political offenders and other trash. You won't leave the town anyway so try not to lose your mind and stay together. ."

looks a little bit flat, I know

One thing I've never got about anthro stuff is...why are the pets still animals rofl. Are they like, the lower class citizens forced to act and be treated like actual animals? I had the same question for that kid show Aurthur. Aurthur had a dog...but I SWEAR one of his classmates was a dog...-brain explodes- That aside, good artwork, I love the rain and metal affects.

I believe it would be more sensible than adding human or alien pets.

Sensible? How so? They're basically "human" anyway, as well as animal. So...alien pets would actually make more sense to me rofl, rather than a slave sub-species forced to continue a feral existence. BUT, it's all fantasy and people can do whatever they want with it.

Very interesting piece. I like the shading you used to make the metal people/animals look realistic. The rain is a nice detail, but that horse is a little scary.

боже боже боже, как красиво *-*
Знаете, когда смотрю, и сразу вспоминается шум дождя, гул толпы, и у каждого свои разговоры,а еще представляется цоканье копыт под дождем. Не каждая работа у меня вызывает такой всплеск фантазии. Именно на эту работу я смотрю с таким восторгом, и вспоминаю наш дождь.))))
Нравится, что все очень атмосферно выглядит, эти капли, эти дома *-*
Я так понимаю, это все механизмы, лошадь, человечки, а вот эта компания живая, и она дает такой резкий контраст над живым и неживым = может быть я ошибаюсь в вашей задумке, но почему то мне так кажется=
Очень сильно нравится тот, кто курит, он как то, даже не знаю как описать, нравится и все, и поз его нравится и сигарета, вроде он не так заметен, как та дама в центре картины, но он притягивает взгляд.
Мне очень сильно нравится эта работа *-*

Ты угадала с задумкой: ребятки сливаются с поглощающей серостью города, и в то же время сильно выделяются на фоне его *мертвенности*
