Description "Get this, remember in 2004-05 when we all clamored for a mature Trek in the vein of BSG? Now that we roughly have it, fans want 1995 *cookie cutter* back. Human nature sucks man."

It's interesting to see how everything went down in this new era of Discovery and Picard. I understand these are not perfect shows, but by God they did push the boundaries further than the Berman era Trek ever did. And that's coming from me, who grew up in the vaunted 90s Treks. We can't keep doing the same thing over and over - the TNG-VOY era had its day and credit to DS9 and ENT for trying early.

There's definitely a lot of garbled, nitpicky, couldawouldashouda, xenop noise coming from the fanbabies. I could go on and keep writing on Trek fandom. Hell, I can feasibly write a book by this point!

Imagine my joy when Isa Briones was cast in ST: Picard (she's half Filipino). But of course they had to make her an android so she's not "too diverse". A lot of ignorant *fans* like to pretend otherwise and look the other way. Since we're all just tokens to be paraded in the grand scheme. To err is to be Human and no matter how hard it tries, Trek will always be an Anglocentric institution. That's simply immovable.

Regardless, fanbois just want their *safe* Trek back and maintain that oh so precious status quo. *Know your place*, *Respect my elders*, *REAL trek*, *Shill*, *Fake Sellout* - its insulting.
