I haven't the slightes idea what a brush in photoshop really does, apart from what the word suggests, but I really like your speedpaintings. The look like drawn snapshots, just a 100 times better

Thanks! Brushes are very cool things. Not just can you use them to make pictures (oh really!) but you could meddle with them! w00t! Quite a LOT in fact! And people here do that all the time and create very nice new brushes. Some of them are like stamps, some are more dynamic.

try to make the trees sharper and less soft/blendy. for trees i recommend using hard edge brushes.
