Description I was going to wait until i wrote Ol' Salty's story in to a peom, but i cant seem to put the right words together.. but i dont want him to remain trapped in my head!

Salty is not evil - he's cursed and frustrated.
He hatched long before the earliest recorded histories. The ocean was endless, unbroken and it was his.
His scales glowed brilliant and blue as cloudless midday skies; flesh now white, slimy and rotten to the bone.
Magnificent and proud were his great, elaborate spines/fins; now blackened and shriveling.
His sea-green eyes were filled with warmth and intelligent curiosity; degraded they oozed from his skull leaving blind and empty pits that light illuminates never more.
And as time went on, Old Salty's sea grew smaller - so it seemed to him. Many ages passed, and so did that same island; that same cove; that same storm; and that same wreck. He saw the dinosaurs come and go; the rise of the animals; and in to the age of man.
And Salty grew old; he felt his bones creak; his teeth crack; his mighty strength deteriorating; his sight diminishing... and he felt his heart stop.
And Salty grew cold; he felt his organs decay; he hated the fish he once ate; he watched his scales sink in to the depths.. and then he saw only black.
And poor Ol' Salty's cold dead heart was filled with loss, confusion, delirium.. and then a great hatred settled in him. It consumed him. He just wanted peace; he wanted release.. until the words lost their meaning. Then Salty knew that he was trapped and doomed to live on. He went mad.
He savaged all that he felt upon him and all in his aimless path. Sailors feared him, for he would massacre their ships and crush men in his jaws and he would turn on the lifeboat should he brushed against in on his way out.

No one knows what became of Ol' Salty. Some say he wandered deep in to a cave and was trapped in its complex network of mazes. Others say he's content to reek havoc on the creatures of the deep abyss. But most say he's just an old sailors tale - nothing more than a legend or beast from a children's fairytale.
