Here is an up close up of Zero from the Hell Hath No Fury picture. I often find myself making my more complicated works in pieces, making each character and/or object separately on a different piece of paper. That way, I can re-size and modify each piece of the artwork without worrying about messing up the rest of the image until everything fits all nice and cozy in the picture frame. (Actually, I could do that on separate layers in the image manipulation programs, but I like to draw things by hand first and then scan it in my comp.) Call me old fashioned.Anywho, this is fairly simple. Not too much to look at here.

Yeah, Zero always had a more appealing design then X in my opinion. That may be one of the reasons why he's such fun to draw.
I'm glad you like this work. It's just a piece of a larger work I made for a contest to get into the Mega Man Tribute art book. It didn't get in, but this had a good turn out regardless. The monitor I had was in it's elder years when I made this, so I couldn't tell how much purple I was using. I suppose I can make the excuse that the glow of the Saber is having a lot of influence on lighting. XD

Sorry to hear you didn't get in , I see you have him here as well. I haven't played any Megaman games since the Xones. I never knew who this was .. are you ever going to draw a front facing version ?

No, this picture took so much work I never want to do this again, honestly. Will I ever make another picture with Zero? probably. Just not one that takes this much effort. The Hell Hath no Fury illustration took me well over 50 hours of work and I don't so that sort of thing unless it's for something important like a commission or contest.
.... Unless another contest I simply cannot ignore comes up that I can enter. But it would have to have some pretty impressive prizes, like a chance for my work to be in a book a copy of a very rare or sought out item I have been wanting for some time.

Thank you! Zero is most likely my fave Mega Man/Rockman character, so I like to illustrate him a lot. I'm glad you like my interpretation.
