Susie sat down next to Guy who was out cold with a blanket placed neatly on him to keep him warm, a blue book in her hands; dusty looking boxes all around, as she shook her head; and began to read out from the book as if reading a story, she had been doing this for the past few weeks just waiting around for not only Guy, but the rest of the group to start getting up and moving.

But lately?

She was starting to wonder if they were ever going to start moving again, were they even still alive? she shook her head and tried to tell herself she could feel each of them breathing, each of them were still alive; they were just in a bad state, and it was going to take a while before they woke up, as she could swear she saw some movement coming from Guy, causing her to look over; but quickly she realized it was just her imagination, as she sighed glancing over towards the blue beanie hat that she had got for him resting a few feet away from the two of them, while she turned her attention back onto the book.

"Don't worry Daddy you'll get better...we'll all get better, it's just going to be awhile." She stated with a smile, looking towards him as he remained out cold.

SO, long story short-- meet two characters from an entirely different universe that the hedgehog character's I have, or the mutant characters I have; named Susie (the girl) and Guy (the out cold man) but before I get into that, let me explain the story.

In an apocalyptic world, many groups found shelter underneath the ground in homes that were created ( think Fallout, and vaults ) while the world around them burned to cinders, but life couldn't be better underground for family Ted Riggs his wife Valerie brother Toby and children Jeremiah oldest and Susie the youngest child.

Jeremiah always wanting to grow up to be an inventor, Susie a happy cheerful twelve-year-old little girl; parents happy for both of their children, and proud of their accomplishments; their biggest worries were simply making sure they obeyed the laws of their home (being housed with about one thousand other people, one of them being the leader of everyone) but this wasn't much of a concern, as they were all pretty decent people and the main leader of the home seemed to enjoy them quite a lot.

But then.

Someone messes up the machine used to keep the underground facility's air flow going, and it forces all of the underground residents to go onto the surface- the pressures of living in a world filled with mutants, and other threats quickly gets to the family, and quite quickly parents divorce; with the mother taking little sister Susie away from the area to follow after a kind stranger, and Jeremiah (being about seventeen years of age) decides to go with dear old dad to a place they thought they could trust.

The siblings don't get much of a say in the matter, but they do say their goodbyes and go their separate ways; Jeremiah hoping that the place his dad desires to go being a safe haven like the underground facilities he lived at, but instead of being welcomed with open arms, they are taken hostage; and nearly killed-- Jeremiah and his father managing to escape, only for his father to be shot dead; and Jeremiah to be trapped within a caved in, patch of dirt for a few days with nothing but his broken up robotic butler that he had living in the underground facility's named Boto

Three days later Jeremiah manages to escape, dehydrated, hurt, and weak; he stumbles around, until he finds himself in the company of a band of bandits who heal up his wounds, and quickly he makes friends with the youngest member of said bandit group known as Jerry but just as quickly they are attacked, and Jeremiah has to flee before he gets too comfortable along with Jerry who follows suit.

After that, the two teens stumble around for about a week trying to find anything they could use to survive; hardly able too, and nearly on the brink of death, both of them end up falling out cold; and when they wake up, Jeremiah finds himself in the company of a strange adult male who questions his story, what he was doing, etc.

Jeremiah shares his story with said figure, and he agrees that he will help him A: find his mother and sister, and B: repair his robotic butler, Jeremiah is of course a little nervous about trusting a mysterious man he just met, but the two develop a close bond as along the travel's he proves time and time again that he's a kind and understand man, although a tad odd.

He introduces him as Solider Dude at first, not seeming to want to give away his real name; but Jeremiah doesn't mind it and quickly comes to calling him this, as they continue about their travels; meeting up with some other apocalypse survivors most notable a radio show host who goes by the name of Atomic Tom and finally coming across Susie and what happened with the mother.

Turns out the kindly stranger that Jeremiah's mother had gone with turned out to turn on her and Susie during an attack by some evil creatures on his home, nearly killing both mother and daughter; however Susie managed to get away, Solider Dude managing to rescue her and bring her back both brother and sister are reunited, and Solider Dude even meets a mother whom he begins to form a connection with named Sadria with her three children.

The radio tower that Tom runs appears to be a home for Jeremiah, Jerry, Susie, and Solider Dude-- everything seems to be going along just fine, until someone threatens Tom's life nearly kills him and in the process burns the radio tower to the ground, causing the group to flee and try to find a new form of shelter.

Time and time again this happens, the group trying to find shelter until finally settling down in a little city that they begin to fortify and make their own home.

There's a lot more, but that's as small as I can make the explanation into the characters XD don't worry Soldier Dude and all the others he travels with turn out just fine, it's just another situation where they struggle to survive and are nearly killed because of it, but manage to live past it.

Side Notes To Remember

Solider Dude's actual name is Guy Phillps

Over the course of their time together, Guy begins to become like a father to Jerry, Jeremiah, and Susie; all three of them ending up taking his last name "Phillps" after they run into their Uncle Toby and realize he was corrupt.

Sadria and Guy end up getting married, even having a young baby together they call Johnny named after someone Guy states was like a brother to him when he was younger.

Guy's group grows to a large size, not only just being himself, Sadria, Jeremiah, Jerry, Susie, and Tom along with the later repaired Boto, but it grows to include quite a few other survivors of the wasteland around them.

Susie has a "no-kill policy" not even wanting to kill some creatures that may attack them, while Guy knows it's impossible NOT to kill something in the world around, he tries his best to honor Susie's wishes when he and she are in the middle of doing something and they run across a creature.

Not all creatures in the world around are completely animal-like, some of them have the ability to think and feel for themselves; some are even friendly.

Jeremiah has questioned why some random stranger would help them, and asks Guy this countless times- Guy has answered he's not quite sure why he decided to help that day, but he's glad he had.

Before meeting up with Jeremiah and Jerry, Guy was quite ruthless; but after settling down with his friends and later his family, he seems to have mellowed out, even become nicer.

The name Solider Dude comes from a game I played as a kid in which you battled a bunch of aliens, they asked you to name the character and I went with Solider Dude but devised such a back story for him, I put him into the story in order to give his character more of a life lol

Commonly Guy wore a red beanie hat that he had gotten from his brother Johnny, but after some amount of adventures in the world around he had lost it; Susie feeling bad, ended up going out of her way to find another beanie hat and giving it off to him as a gift to replace his old one.
