'Bast' The egyptian goddess of cats. She was said to have the head of a lion, but this is her full human body instead lol.So it's been a really long time since Ive been excited about a picture Ive done and well Im excited about this one.. I dont know why.. I dont think it's all that special.. I just really loved the powerful look the goddess has. I also had to use the kitty in this picture purely cause of it's name.. 'bruce' my puppies name is bruce so it won me over

It's very beautiful, but according to Egyptian mythology, Bast never appeared as a full human - the closest she ever got was a human body and the head of a cat.
I still like this rendition though - it's interesting, and the lighting is well done.

I know. I was originally going to find a lion or tigers head to work with but a the time there wasnt any really available on dev art to work with. So I just stuck with what I had..

I'm not usually one to fav a pagan symbol, no matter how beautiful, but this one gets the best of me. And besides, cats can believe anything they want.
