Description
So, here comes a Mikaela update.
After the events of the manga, Mikaela returns home to Paradis with the intention of trying to convince her mother to leave and start a new life with her in Onyakopon's home country after she is offered sanctuary from the Jaegerists with Levi.
However upon returning home, she discovers that her mother was killed when Eren activated the rumbling.
Burying her mother with the other victims of the rumbling within Karanese District, Mikaela leaves Paradis Island to start a new life.
For the first year of her new life as a civilian, she helps Levi set up a tea shop, which he runs with the help of Gabi and Falco while he recovers from his injuries, however having served as a soldier for so many years, she cannot fully adjust to a life of peace and calm routine.
Yearning for the pull of a military life, she once again earns her "wings of freedom" and joins the flying brigade of the military, where she spends the next three years training to fly planes and achieves the rank of "captain."
After the three year separation, she returns to Levi's tea shop to attend Gabi and Falco's wedding before serving on a series of missions that sees her reunited with her former comrades from the Survey Corps and Alliance, serving as their pilot during their peace missions to Paradis.
