That's because they're yellow and black and sunny cheerful like he is. And they're BIG flowers, big enough for him to pick one to enjoy it like most humans do with smaller flowers. Oh so many reasons he would like Sunflowers. That and they're a practical flower too, they provide edible seeds for his human friends! Like Raf! **grins**
