This is my submission for MLP-ATG-Alumni 's Week 322 Theme, Unlikely Friends / An Odd Couple.

Maud Pie and Trixie have not been shown interacting with each other in the cartoon series, but are still a relatively popular pairing in the fandom. Evidently, Trixie's reference to working at the Pie Family's rock quarry (err, "rock farm") was enough of an inferred meeting for this mild Crack Ship to form. And while I feel that disdain is a more likely outcome to their meeting than friendship/romance would be, I do still really like both characters and thus am not adverse to the pairing at all.

And of course both are now friends with Starlight Glimmer, so a potential meeting through their mutual friend could happen. Only time will tell if a canon meeting will happen, though I'm sure the pairing will keep chugging along in the fandom regardless of what happens in the show.

As a side note, Trixie did unintentionally whap Maud in the face with her cape. This was actually my own fault; I accidentally lined up Trixie's rear legs with Maud's forelegs, putting the showmare ahead of the stoic rather than having them side by side as originally planned. And then my brain quickly realized what would happen when Trixie rears up and her cape flutters out and, as I often seem to do, I ran with that idea.
