Description
I had decided even before I officially began reading the fanfic, that Nocturne Star would exist in the Fallout: Equestria universe. But, with the events of Littlepip's journey occuring roughly two hundred years after the apocalypse, there was only one feasible way for my ponysona to still be around: a transformation into an undead ghoul brought about by the necromantic energies unleased during the apocalypse. So, when #MLP-ATG-Alumni announced that this week's theme would be 'A Spooky Pony/Nightmare Night Frights', and specifically used the word 'ghoul' in the journal entry, I realized that this would be a perfect time to draw this version of Nocturne Star.

This also gave me a chance to show his new cutie mark design (well, most of it at least). This is the third design I've tried for him, and I think the old adage, "Third time's a charm" fits here. The color fits much better with his overall design than the previous version did, and the new gear shape looks nicer as well. The shooting star etching has also been updated, with its design influenced by *Glaive-Silver 's take on Nocturne Star shown here .

I wanted to do a bit more with the background, particularly the ground itself, but time grows short. I'm pretty happy with it as is nonetheless.

For the record, just in case it isn't obvious, Nocturne Star is doing something he spends a lot of time doing in the wasteland; scavenging for anything useful. And the weapon he's carrying is a custom-made Railway Rifle . This is one of my favorite weapons in Fallout 3, and a very appropriate one for somepony whose talent is mechanical in nature.
