Except for everybody who voted for her in the Smash Poll a few years back; which was apparently enough for Nintendo to take notice. As well as everybody commenting here, and other such images, who's happy about this.

They've firmly established echo characters as a thing, and she's just one of those.  She's not taking up a slot that a new character of any more uniqueness/important would've had.

That's Your Opinion. I've seen a bit of People wanting her in the game and It's about time. If Rosalina got into Smash, Why not all 3 Princesses now?

Well, it's my opinion. So many people are over obsessed with Daisy a lot, some other people used to like Daisy back in the GB/N64 days which they loved her classic design (minus the old hair and they like the new haircut), but Nintendo screwed up and made Daisy look truly like a Peach clone. Plus, almost not many people are a big fan of Daisy anyways, Not to mention that fans kept demanding Nintendo to put Daisy in, So Nintendo listened to them just to shut them up. I am still bitter about Daisy's fan base.

To be honest, I always felt Daisy was better off not in the game than as a Peach clone.  Considering the main Mario series barely treats her as more than that, I wanted to see her gain a more unique role there first before worrying about her being in Smash, but I guess Smash has now solidified her as being nothing more than that.  At least her sassy/upbeat personality shines through in her animations I guess.

But then I heard she's an echo character which is something new. Don't know what is different there. We'll see how she plays in the game.

Echo character isn't new, it is just the official term they've given to clone characters. Lucina and Dark Pit are also marked as echo characters.
