some of the sketch cards I did for the Dangerous Divas set.top 3 rows were acrylic, the others were colored pencil.

Thanks for confirming Joe - I bought a Kitty Pryde and Lockheed walking through a wall in coloured pencils.
I was offered the Scarlet Witch in bold markers but stupidly I let it go *cry*

yeah, and that's why i'm pretty much done with sketch cards. lol. doing painted headshots was fun. but making us do all half body shots...killed my interest in doing these. too many rules breaks the camel's back, or something like that

Yeah I hear you. I actually think it would be cooler if there was a mix of techniques for sketch cards...do some in pencil, some head shots and then some more involved figure pieces.
It is kind of like what happened with con sketches...the bar has been raised from pencil and sharpie quickies to basically doing finished art now, thank you very much Adam Hughes

actually that's what i've been doing for the couple Upper Deck sets i'm finishing up. some in pencil, some in ink, some in marker. i've been able to do lot more experimenting and i've found i'm a bit less frustrated with these
