I have a very large collection art books of modern and older masters that of course provide me inspiration and humility.
However, sometimes it is in younger artists that I find the greatest inspiration and encouragement. You are among those artists, sir.
You have an extremely successful illustration career ahead of you, if you don't have many commissions already, there are many to come.
Extremely powerful imagery in this one. I don't know if your professors are purists- but perhaps it would be interesting to layer them over collage-such as news paper or a prepared mid-tone canvas and building up your light and dark values with different printing processes or going back and forward with print-nonetheless-very skillfully, creatively and successfully executed.

That's very kind. I do wish that I could go back and paint over many of these prints, but a lot of them were done a while ago and have since been sold/given away.
