Description a man and his dog sailing his boat as the sun sets
in wreck beach, vancouver bc. he kept yelling out
β€˜cheap booze for sale, cold beer and wine, only for today’. it was quite funny, and even funnier that everyonelse ignored him.

Maybe those on the beach didn't want to venture out to get it!I do like the black and white treatment here. And very relieved that no one else got into that shot or you'd have to put a nudity filter on it!

thanks Sergio. i almost forgot about this shot actually.
i uploaded it first at redbubble, then it was featured twice here, then twice over
at rb! that's probably one of my last shots i ever took with my telephoto lens from
last summer. i just sold it yesterday for $200, to some vietnamese guy who didn't even
know how to mount a lens to the camera. oh well. i miss it already though. this shot
was taken handheld at wreck beach, handheld. i'm glad you liked it !! i can't wait to print
it out.

A pretty good sell, am I right? So, right now you a full resident of "prime land"... I have been living there almost a year, and I love it.

Anyways, I think one always must have a decent zoom lens, tools of the trade yo know?

I bet it would make a hell of a print man, it's a very appealing photograph.

very good sell yeah. considering it was serviced before, after my camera bag fell off my hand, with that lens mounted on it. brand new they go for $369, plus tax. so i guess it was a good sell
and yeah zoom lenses are good to have, but i dont shoot wildlife anymore, and even if i do portraits, i can
always just use my kit lens or my 50mm prime, so it's okay thanks again.

MK87 asked me to crit it any way so here it goes.

I really like the subjects of the photo. The posing is great and the bright reflections on the water really make them pop out.

The thing that keeps drawing my eye is that harsh line on the horizon where the mountians meet the water. Its so striking that it even manages to draw the eye away from the subject of the photo. I dont really think there is much that can be done about it but its worth noteing.

Another thing is that the line isnt quite straight which makes the photo feel a little off kilter. I think if you were to straiten it just the slightest bit it would feel a little better.

The toneing and after effects work well on this shot. Its got a very classic and timeless feel to it.

Keep up the great work.

thanks ! yeah i have a hard time with keeping the horizon straight,
which i guess was one reason i quit doing landscapes for a while.
i never thought about keeping this shot. i had it since last summer,
took it with my telephoto lens (70-300m ). thanks for the great words
they seldom come by.

You could still write a critique without using the dedicated option for it Just do it in a regular comment.

Go ahead, show Adrian some support
