I like the red in this a lot, it speaks for the color in Mr. Rollins' personality

I used to be on speaking terms with Hank. When his old band broke up, and he hired some new guys to tour as RB, they were my best friends. Then after a few years he went back to his classic line up. I haven't spoken to him in years.

Did you stop speaking beCAUSE the old band broke up? I happen to think the 2 albums he did with Mother Superior as his band almost rival the Black Flag stuff...well, "Get Some/Go Again" at least...that second album was ruined by the female backup singers in my opinion...I'm currently reading the Rollins book where he gets back with Sim Cain and those guys.

To tell you the truth Rollins and I weren't exactly friends, he liked me, and he liked that I supported MS. I used to run their official website. I also designed the prototype for the logo on their self titled album that came out on triple X. Sadly I was not credited as that stuff is union. Another artist redid the logo based on my model. But we didn't exactly see eye to eye. I had some nice chats with him though, and he was always nice to me when we were around one another. I never found out exactly what happened between them and Henry. I never asked because it seemed a little sensitive at the time, and I never thought to ask Jim and Marc about it again. I agree with you, I preferred GSGA over Nice as well. My name is in the liner notes for both of the MS/RB cds which was pretty cool. I was a long time fan if his, so it was cool getting to spend time with him. I didn't read that particular book yet, although I have pretty much read the rest of his stuff. Just thought of something cool you might dig too, back when GSGA came out we did a promo contest thingy on the MS site. A give away, it was an autographed promo for the Illumination CDS. Henry signed it first and he thought it was for me personally, so he signed it to me, but it was just supposed to be a random winner. So the rest of the guys signed it to me and well, and just sent it out as a little present. [link] Someone here wanted to see it, so I scanned it, and stuck it in my scraps. They ended up sending a new signed copy of the entire GSGA cd out directly to the winner, so it was personalized and stuff. I guess mostly since the point of connection between Henry and I was Mother Superior, we stopped talking when they stopped playing together though, yeah. Speaking of Flag, they also played on his Black Flag tribute thing he did for the Memphis3. I don't know if you ended up following MS or anything after they joined RB, but they're keeping busy enough despite not playing with Henry anymore. I always hoped the split was an amicable one, Henry did a lot for them even before they were playing with him, and I know they always appreciated it.

yeah I liked it too.really? No I hadn't heard that. All I can say is it's about time. I for one say justice was served there. Not enough proof against those guys.

Indeed, there were dna tests done and the blood matched none of them...I think they just got out like a week ago or so, on the condition that they signed something saying they were guilty? something strange like that

yeah I just check on it, the thing that signed basically said they were being let go, but there was enough evidence to find them guilty. I think it's to cover Tennessee's ass for holding those guys for almost 20 years, so they couldn't sue or whatever. Which in itself is pretty bogus. Hold someone's freedom over their heads after you took half their life, and make them take accountability away from the people who put them there. I mean I value my freedom...A LOT, and any one who's done nearly two decades in prison would value it even more. I just think they deserve a little something more than just that...they were kids.

Thanks! I do agree they probably did have enough evidence to convict those guys, butttt at the same time put it beside all of the shoddy police work, and there's also plenty of room for reasonable doubt. I think that was all about religion, in the end.
