Woke up to 12 inches this morning. Had one of the best drives to work as most stayed home.

Boy, where's Chris to impart his historical knowledge when you need him? Great shot man. Nice to see something old-school again.

Wow... I just found this one. I was off-line for several weeks when this was posted and still haven't caught up.

As already noted this was a pretty standard every-day loco used in both Q long-haul passenger and short haul commuter service. See [link] and [link] for a wider view of what these Scoots looked like. (Never seen this font on an E-unit number board though.)

I am ashamed to say I had a pair of those pants too. What were we thing!

I'll bet that nose door bought a car or truck. Normally there was a square Q logo below the stripes in that blank space

Man oh man I am there! Red white and blue with yellow?! I think I probably wore the same combination at some point in those years, LOL! My grandma used to commute on those trains. I remember them as a little kid before everything turned Burlington Green and before Metra. Great memories.

Cool! This is a real neat shot John!
I went digging around to see if she was at Larry's but I guess NRE has her now.
Anyway I did find this shot of her just two years later sporting a new number and coat of paint. [link]

According to all I can find on the net, she is at NRE now. Built in 1954, glad it is still around.
