Description
This is a Commission peice for ~seru-crescent . The request was for me to do a larger, more finalized poster of Zack Fair, however all details beyond that point were left up to me.This is a full 11x17 size poster, and has been formatted for prints as well.
I'm rather pleased with how this turned out, though I intentionally went with the "shiney" clothing appearance.
The background was painted from scratch. I'd kinda hoped it would be reminiscent of those odd mission landscapes you find all the time in Crisis Core.

well, to an extent at least... XD I mean, it's not going to be PERFECT the sword wasn't designed to be! but it should be pretty decent, and being made of wood and not metal it'll be lighter.

yeah it's purple... the sword was already monocromatic with black and grey... so I had to use a different hue for his hair.

You could desaturate the purple just a touch. A purple tint to it, is different than having rather flambouyant purple highlights.

.... naw, that didn't look good, tried all that.
the problem is that the "grey" sword is right behind his head, if I make his hair less saturated or in any way more black, it'll disappear against the sword.
Besides, I think the purple looks fine, it looked a little blue-purpley in the game anyways.

AHHHH man! Look at the size of that sword, I bet he could cut five people in half with just one strike. Nice concept, I can virtually find no mistakes with this piece. (yeah I noticed the "Advanced Critique Encouraged" thing right above the comment box) but seriously, I can't find nothing wrong with this. It's that awesome.
