Zen from The Rumble Fish.Dimps is mostly known for doing contract work and licensed games, but with The Rumble Fish they do at least have one original fighting game property to their name. It was pretty fun if not particularly amazing, but it did have some really cool character designs, and it was generally a breath of fresh air in the "dark ages" of 2D fighters in the mid-00's. It's too bad the sequel never got a home port.

微妙な格ゲー・ランブルフィッシュ！最後のZだけに、後ろ姿で描いたのはいい感じの締めになったね！
アニメが手抜きっぽかったり、キャラが少ないけど色々独自性を持ったゲームだったね。私もPS2版持ってるけど、CPU戦がすごくつまらない！対戦相手も居なかったゲームでした。。

最後に後ろ姿がいいよね！と思ったし・・最後に疲れたから何とか描きやすい構図がいいとも思ったがww
ザ・ランブルフィッシュは色々が微妙だが、ブレイカーズのように操作が簡単でキャラデザインがとてもいいわけでかなり気に入ったゲームだった！出たときは2D格ゲーの珍しい時代だったのでこんなオリジナル2D格ゲーがあって嬉しかった！ ちなみにその時代は英語圏の格ゲーファンに「格ゲーの暗黒時代」と時々呼ばれる。モーコン、鉄拳、キャリバー意外は格ゲーがほとんど出なかったよ！（このランブルフィッシュも、もちろん欧米未発売）

ははｗｗ楽をしたかったのかー！ｗｗでもはためく鉢巻が画面に奥行きを与えて、終わりを感じる構図になってる！
格ゲー暗黒時代！確かに、日本でもアーケードで人気作の続編が全くリリースされなくて、寂しい時代だった。。旧SNKがなくなり、カプコンが格ゲーを作らない時代はゲーセンが本当につまらなかったよ。

Rumble Fish was a badass game, Zen was a really cool character especially. I also really liked Kaya and Lud. Really wish Rumble Fish 2 could get some kind of port.

There's nothing "Emo" about Zen. He's a stoic wandering warrior like Ryu, but that's where the similarities end. In terms of gameplay he's way different. I think he has more in common with Virtua Fighter's Akira.
