I've finally come back to the Liberator-3, and damn I'm impressed. I've been threatening to redraw this for ages but I've always run out of motivation. Now I finally pulled it off in my hand-shading and I think I did it justice. I drew this so that it could be used as a monster for Rpg2knet: Convergence (hence the angle). I was actually frustrated with this drawing for a while due to lack of planning on my part, but in the end it turned out pretty well. I might even go and color this now, and perhaps convert it into 3d like I've been threatening to do.

First thing you may notice is the ridiculous amount of weapons I put on this thing. I might as well go and point them out. The front cannons are 2x plasma cannons, while the small guns on the nose are 4x machine guns (2 on each side). The vehicle has 2 ball-turrets on each side, each one equipped with a gauss rifle and a beam cannon. Finally, the weapon on the tail is a sort of lightning-caster which is the only weapon I could think of to be appropriate for the tail (it's kinda retro I think). It's got a ton of beam weapons because with a loadout like that it can't really store much ammo. The upper half that has the turrets and the cockpit can revolve around the base (where the legs originate). The upper half can also detach and hover for short durations in case the legs are disabled. This vehicle is quick on its feet but also uses jump jets and hover capability for high speed evasion tactics. It's a pretty well-rounded vehicle and is one of my favorite designs.
