I just finished reading Spinning Silver by Naomi Novak. It's a REALLY GOOD fantasy novel twist on Rumplestiltskin. I think it has now become one of my favorites (especially by this author). In it the main character is able to turn silver into gold and that image is what popped into my head when I got to this prompt.

I really haven't drawn in a long while so the idea of doing a body part was really intimidating but I was so tired of being stuck on the map prompt that I was determined to move past the drawing block. It wasn't too bad for being out of practice. I liked the idea of seeing the gold bleed over the silver but didn't quite get it to look the way I wanted. I'm actually pretty satisfied with how it came out though.
