Acrylic paint. This stone is for sale over on Etsy ~ www.etsy.com/listing/263188367…He measures approx. 2 1/2 x 3 inches. I mostly paint owls on stones, because I am so used to the language of it, but every so often a fox appears!

Do you put several layers of paint to have this rich colors? It can be see-through on this quite dark surface. Awesome work, I love it.

Hi Vikrapuff. On most stones I put at least 2 layers on. One 'wash' of color, transparent, and go back with more opaque paint. Certain areas may need to be gone over a third or fourth time depending on the color and how vivid I want the paint it to be.
