Description This piece was inspired by an artist who truly takes one on a journey through the stars. His paintings of astrological constellations are creative and unique.

If you get a chance, please stop by and do some stargazing.

Thanks for coming by and viewing.

Amazing piece! Each panel possesses a quasi-autonomous identity whilst flowing into the whole, and those dots look almost like shocked eyes

I checked your page to see your new work and found this: Thought to myself "Wow, this is one I really like." (this of course is BEFORE I read anything you wrote about it and what your inspiration was *blushing*.).

I also want to take this opportunity to say that dA needs more people like you. You actually take time to consider work and leave constructive thoughts. I've always liked your insightful thoughtfulness and the unique way you see things with extraoridinary depth and clarity. One never knows exactly what another person sees, and how artists affect one another. Art inspires art--like ripples in water, and so it is that every artist tries to make as big a splash as possible.

...and then, some of us do it just because we like skipping rocks.

Of course I MUST fav. this piece on it's own merits! I'm truly honored you feel that way.

Cheers,
Shawn

There is a powerful sensation in your paintings that one repeats again and again, is inexplicable but I cannot avoid to feel observed by you ... it is as if they were extensions of your soul, of your conciente, of your dreams and longings.

that is a wonderful compliment my friend. I cannot paint unless there are feelings, or dreams, so they are extensions of the inner self. Much appreciated, your thoughts...

Seeing...

the mechanics of the cosmos - through that window... rivers of stars - like pearls...

And also the voice of HAL - LOL
and Einstein as well

And there is a hint of a city - or at least earthly buildings - with only one window, and it's dark...
Either the dwellers are out admiring the sky, or perhaps, they are like so many that take the wonders of the universe for granted.

Now Dave....that simply isn't true...Dave...Dave..lol

Yes the city lurks , but perhaps one is gazing out a window to the stars, seeing some of the city but focused on the stars, perhaps looking for a logic that is both magical and tangible at the same time....

Thanks for dropping by Hew, always a pleasure to get a glimpse of Hewsan logic and magic.

Well, a vacation would be quite a welcome thing! A novel concept I think I am not cut out for 12 hour days and weekends my friend. However, the economy dictates such absurdity! Calgon, take me away

I recently started playing around with digital painting and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know if you have seen it [link]
