I've used this for an alcohol project in health. I made a manip of it and will probably post it to give credit to you. It's silly, and I know you didn't take this picture for people to use it as their health project, but it was perfect, and I thank you for taking it.
I can't believe this is a photo, the silhouette is outstanding.

At first when I looked at this, I thought it was some form of digital art, because of the silhouette (you know how popular that stuff is on here these days). But then I realised it was a photo. It's really nice, actually and very different. Has a very pop-artish style to it which you don't often see in photography. The colours of the advertisement in the background really make the picture something else. The detail in the background is the same but yet it's still very interesting to look at. It's like all the coloured dots (not sure what they're are) have an individual life of their own. Are those dots lights themselves or is the lighting behind the dots? I can't quite make it out.

The silhouette looks really good, although it's a shame that the bottle isn't black along with the person. I guess it just takes the exciting away from it just a little but nothing bad. It's still quite an interesting shot and not something I've seen before. The photo itself would make quite a cool advertisement. An interesting poster, with a bit of typography... would be perfect for promoting a good night out or something similar.

The dots form part of a bus stop advertisement- it is a big picture lit from behind.
I know what you mean about the bottle not being a silhouette- but i quite like that- it links the person to the background, because it is slightly opaque and still has colour in it...

Wonderfly dramatic, the lighting is brilliant, looks similar in style to those (evil) iPod comercials! I think you should crop out the top bit of the advertisement though, as it's a bit inconsistent with the feel of the rest of the image and slightly too distracting. Still a fav though!

This is a really great photograph! I love the idea and story it tells. I also love how her being only a silhouette lets us concentrate on the bottle and the advertisement while at the same time leaving her anonymous. Wonderful capture!

I love this Jim, one of my favourites of yours. The silhouette and overall composition, but most of all the link with drinking and the lottery (very inventive) which says all you need to say about the word gambling.
