Description Pictured is Kom. Maj. Adolf Galland's Bf/Ve 1110 "Wolf" fighter, during the Battle of Britain, in this alt. universe (where A.H. and the N***s never came to power, but instead a Platonic oriented Republic  governed Germany.)
The prototype, which flew in Jan 1939, was so superior to the Bf-110, that it was ordered into mass production in mid 1939.
Test pilots declared: "It had all of the virtues of the 109, but none of it's vices!"
Prof Veeblefitzer, upon seeing the prototype Bf-110, knew that up and coming enemy all metal monoplanes would make the 110 obsolete.
He quickly designed a smaller machine, carrying just the pilot, and dispensing the aft gunner. He kept the 110's motor nacelles, with the reliable DB-601 engines, and undercarriage, but gave it a more rounded, elliptic wing, similar to the Spitfire.
The smaller, lighter design had an outstanding power-to-weight ratio, carrying the machine to a top speed of 365mph at 23,000 feet, making it faster than the Spitfire Mk1 and the Bf-109E.
The craft proved as maneuverable, at lower speeds, as the 109 and Spitfire, and superior in all respects to the Hurricane.
Prof. Veeblefitzer, taking advantage of the additional power, added two extra 20mm cannon, giving the plane 4 x 20mm cannon, with 60rpg. For aiming purposes, two 7.9mm mg's were nose mounted.
Pilots immediately fell in love with the "Wolf", as it was designated.
It's take off and landing characteristics were far superior to the accident prone 109.  It had superior range over the 109 which enabled it to escort bombers all the way to their targets and back to base. The pilots loved the all around visibility and could easily spot an attacker from the rear, and the cockpit was slightly larger, and roomier than the 109's. The four cannon easily defeated RAF aircraft.
The RAF was obliterated during the summer and fall of 1940, and the Republic of Germany was able to launch Operation Sea Lion on schedule.  The British nobility quickly fled Britain for Canada, and the new English republican government immediately sued for peace.  Germany stopped their assault and quickly turned the new English government into a friend and ally, due to generous peace terms and reconstruction aid.
The threat of British elite's imperial designs for the world were dealt a major blow, due, in a very large part, to Prof. Anton Veeblefitzer's beautiful design, the "Wolf"!

What a splendid-looking combat aircraft, Prof!! I'm amazed. This one could actually have offset the balance of power, had Hitler's minions been wise enough to produce it (fortunately they didn't).

Ah, the German equivalent of the Westland Whirlwind!

Hi!
I added a more detailed history to the text.  Please read.
Too bad the Whirlwind was a dud.  If it had the same motor used on the Spit' and Hurricane, it could have been a winner. Imagine Wolf's and Whirlwind's battling over London!

Good looking airframe, love those two-engine designs from WWII... they really had it all!

A similar airplane appeared on War Thunder.

I'm not aware of the WT version, but I love the simple twin engine concept.
