Hi friends!
A few months ago, I
accidently deleted my jimbowyrick1
DA account (I'm totally computer illiterate!).
But a few minutes ago, I accidently reconnected
to my site!!!!
Let's hope that I don't blow-it again and lose it!!!
Any-who, here's a recent revision of one my old
"Thundermug" designs (You can see the original
buried in my gallery!).
This is sort-of a parody of the German Dornier 335 Arrow
heavy fighter-bomber, which had two engines mounted tandem
in a single fuselage (see Wikipedia Do-335 for details).
The Veeblefitzer-designed SBFV-1a (Scout Fighter-Bomber-Veeblefitzer 1a)
was powered with two PW-R2800 radial engines that produced over
2,000hp each!
It was armed with 6x20mm cannon in the wing, and could carry four
1,000lb bombs, plus an external fuel tank.
The "Monster", as it was affectionally nicknamed. was a robust, heavy
aircraft, and could only be flown off the decks of the new, "Horrendous"-class
aircraft carriers then being mass-produced to fight in this weird alt' universe
imagined by that bizarre lunatic-genius: Professor Anton Veeblefiter!
