It was one of my favorites along with World Of Motion (where Test Track is now). The previous version of Spaceship Earth with Jeremy Irons narrating the ride was my favorite as well. I also miss the original version of Journey Into Imagination with the Dreamfinder and Figment. Yes, we still have Figment, but no longer the Dreamfinder unfortunately.

It probably is the nostalgia, since you have fond memories of it.

So you haven't gone back recently? I don't recall if the music still sounded like that, but I assume the music still fits.

I think the nostalgia is only part of it. The music really is very deep and moving.
The last time I was there was in December of 2012. No, they do not have the same music. It's all completely different and I don't really like it. It's too happy and bland rather than thought provoking as someone in a YouTube video put it. 2007 is when they changed it from the Jeremy Irons version to the current version.

Hmm... I really don't remember how the music sounded. Maybe I was too distracted by the scenery to listen to it.

That's probably because the music isn't very memorable. Well, it's hard to remember any music when you're paying attention to narration and visuals anyway. It mainly sets the tone, mood, and ambiance. I forgot the Jeremy Irons music until I went through my videos and then was moved at how awesome that music was. This young fellow explains exactly how I felt about the update after the Jeremy Irons version. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsWCYz…

Well, I'm sorry you feel this way.

Still, I think the ride is fine. Does the music really matter, in the end? I know it adds to the attraction, but I'm more entranced by the visuals and narration to even notice.
Also, what is it about the ending that gets people so worked up? What did it have then that it doesn't have now?

Well, according to the young man in that video I shared with you, it seems they took out those final few animatronics that envisioned the future.

Hmm... is there a video that shows these animatronics?

Yeah, they got rid of those apparently and that's the part where you use the interactive screens while you are going backwards down from the top of Spaceship Earth. I think it's lame to replace that part with interactive screens. Just like that fellow in the car in the vlog I shared with you.

Actually, I thought that part was fun and interesting.

It was. But to me, that's not good enough to replace something that was already there that was still good, and in my opinion, better.

Because it feels better rather than bottling it up inside, and I have the freedom to share my opinion. So that's what I'm going to do.
