This is part of a collection of Christmas gifts, for those users whom I forgot to make a gift for on their birthday. Decided to upload them on Christmas to make up for the rest of the year, simply because I didn't have any ideas, or didn't have time, or I simply forgot.--
Christmas gift for DrawtoonzStudio , featuring his character Nett. I don't really know much of his story. He's either a kid in old times pretending to be a warrior, a modern kid imagining himself as an olden times warrior, or a real warrior. Either way, I had this idea where he was posing as a warrior with his wooden sword against the warm/cool sunset, imagining what it would be like to be a real warrior.
UPDATE: DrawtoonzStudio explained that "Nett is supposed to be a knight in training. He's an orphan boy who somehow gained the attention of the royal family (that part of his backstory hasn't been 100% thought out yet), and now he lives with them, often going on adventures with Sonya, and taking lessons from one of the royal family's most trusted knights."

I absolutely love the colors in this one. This is the kind of lighting I've always wanted to try for a cinematic scene, where the purple-blue-ish shadow contrasts against the bright yellow sun. And the sky, turning from orange to blue-purple-ish.
I kept it pretty simple yet still effective with its color tone. It wasn't too hard to make like some others I've worked on.

He said if there was a film based on his character, it'd be rated PG, though a Nett TV series would very likely be rated TV-Y7-FV.

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry I didn't see this sooner. I love it! I really like how the outlines blend in with the rest of the colors.
