This drawing is NOT mine.This is the colored version of jbwarner86 's line art deviation:

He stated that he had no time to color it in, even after doing the line art. I offered to color it in for him, and maybe add some special effects to it. He agreed, and so, over the course of a few days, I colored the characters in as best as I could, looking at his other deviations for references, and then some special shading effects to make them look more soft-round-ish. Also added in a pool-like background to stay in touch with the underwater feel of the drawings.

It's nothing short of amazing how the fellow managed to pull off this very concept: that of the regular characters from his comic project, Nineteen Ninety-Something, being submerged into water, each with a non-waterproof device germane to the time period in which the series is set. The 1990s were a time of rapid advances in the realm of technology, and if there's anything that has the audacity to stop this kind of progress dead in its tracks, it's watery environments. From Joel's air guitar to Michelle's handheld game console to Katy's corded telephone and everything in between, all these character drawings prove to show how silly this very premise is supposed to be.
And to be honest, both jbwarner86 , who lined this originally, and you pulled off your respective parts very wonderfully. Kudos to both of you!
