Would there be a way to simulate the movement even if there is no control code. Maybe just have the hands move quickly and choppy in each direction so they look real. I don't know if that could be done either. The other thing I thought about is I have a stand alone vu meter widget that does work. It is just the right and left vu meter with no border or controls. I thought about making a player with a square transparent background that you could place over the running vu meter to make it look like they are one widget.

About the first part I don't know if is possible through a script that is difficult..
Or we can find a gif with vu hands, or assign the % of playtime, or I don't know..
If want open a topic in XW forum.

I guess it is not that important. Just thought it would be a cool idea. I do have some nice animated vu gifs that I can pass on if they are any good to you. If not no worries. I have other players I can use. Cheers.

Which is probably a good thing for me or the wife would make me sleep in the dog house.
I have a request. Could you do an old school player with vu meters? I like the looks of those old stereos with the big square glowing vu meters. Even something simple like this would do. i.stack.imgur.com/6EWUH.png
