"Havranians - or, as they are mockingly called by the common folk; Scarecrows - are an utterly mysterious race of humanoids, with heads that appear to resemble the skull of a crow or raven. The bone-like material is a thick carapace which protects the vulnerable organs underneath. There also doesn't seem to be a way to discern gender amongst these beings.
Information is extremely limited on these unnerving creatures, as they do speak the tongue of Men, however only choose to whenever they deem it necessary.
Wherever they come from, they appear to be all but extinct, as only 45 unique individuals of Havranian have been recorded to wander the lands. There seems to be no Havranian society at all, as most of them travel alone, and live in caves secluded far from civilization.
However - contrary to their anti-social behaviour and skeletal appearance - Havranians tend to be benevolent towards the populace. Every single one of them is an extremely talented medicine man (woman, thing?) and they travel from village to village, curing ailments and diseases among the people as they go. Whatever their motivations are is unknown, however.
Even though they prefer a solitary existence, Havranians have been part of our society for decades, and even though we do not know what drives them, we do know they're peaceful and helpful people, that we should all welcome into our hearts and homes."
