When the new Spiderman series Venom hit, people were less than thrilled. Yeah the scorpion tail was removable but he still had some oddities about him like the pupils, and no bicep swivels. Well all that's been fixed! His head was taken apart by heating it and I carved out the inside a bit, adding a hinge so it can open and close like the Marvel Icons one. Venom also has sculpted in eyes/back, and a whole new set of teeth individually set in to gums made from Aves Fixit. I used Son of Hulk inner elbow discs to create swivel-biceps for him and expanded the area around the hips so his legs could move better.Honestly the hips are fine even tho there's no ball-joint there. They move just like regular figure hips somehow and look decent so I wouldn't mind seeing these on more figures if they had to do away with the ball joint. A complete repaint including the most detailed Venom eyes I've ever done, 2-foot wire webline made from coated craft wire, and you have a brand new Venom sure to scare the heck outta his webslinging foe!

This is pretty damn awesome. I just customized my own Venom, albeit it's the older version, using parts of the head technique you have on your site.

Those are some freaking wicked teeth hes got there! About that webbing, I had to actually go on vacation to my parents house and look in nearly every store in town before I finally found something acceptable at a hardware store, but had to buy red wiring along with the white.

I find spools of the white coated craft wire at Michaels. You finding yours at Ace? You can also make badass carnage 'webbing' by taking 3 strands of long red wire and wrapping black around it.

I suppose I could try that if I can find a Carnage figure I actually liked; was thinking of it actually. The place I found the wire at was a mom and pop place in my old hometown. I went to 3-4 different Michaels and came up with nothing.

They have a Superheroes Showdown version. I'm waiting to see if the new Marvel Universe comes out with a Venom in the upcoming line before I make a small one.

It's very nice- even with the articulated jaw and and removable tongue is a great touch- You really got the hunch to work out all the menacing, sinister poses out of him.
The job gives me more of an oozy solid black rather than a dusty rock cover, Good job man!

not sure if you're aware but in the comic the new venom does in fact have pupils, i still like the look of
this one, very "Eddie Brock". i think you should make one for the new venom however, as eddie brock died of cancer and Mack Gargan (the scorpion) took over as venom. i think you could do a fantastic job especially if you made it from scratch, by that i mean make a new tail and give it a better look than the new toy. but that's just y opinion

Yeah...I just absolutely hate the Gargan scorpion Venom. I'll never touch that version unfortunately, or the 'Anti-Venom'.. gah. Screwing with tried and true characters is what got me to stop reading comics.
