Wings don't work like that.

if only people could be a little more polite and constructive in critiques..
the wings are pretty, but they are a bit off. think of a wing like an arm. the bend in them would be lower on the "arm", like near the elbow, if they're folded. here you've placed the bend a bit too high, more near the "wrist". referencing photos of bird wings can help you out, if you get a chance.
and yes, the wings are a bit too sparse in the feather department on the lower portions. full wings are pretty wings, and can help this wolf really take flight.
i really enjoy this design as a whole, though. the gold is lovely, especially on the top portion of the wings.
keep up the good work, and keep practicing c:

you're welcome, jinx c:
and you don't fail as much as you think, these were a good attempt. practice makes perfect, that's all. i need major practice with bird wings, too, they really are hard

Well you've folded them incorrectly. They do not bend like that and they're missing a rather large portion of their mass.

My scanner isn't working properly at the moment but I'll try to explain with words.
You've jointed the wing in four places as opposed to the major three. The major three should mimic a human being's own arm joints.
There's not enough mass on the arm bone itself to actually be able to contain enough muscles to produce enough lift for a creature of this size and not snap under the strain of sustained flight.
Wings are composed of feathers, not fur.
The length of the secondary "feathers" under the mass of the foreground wing are far too short.
This kind of pose for a wing would be very uncomfortable for a creature to hold for extended periods of time.
I'll link you some of my favorite wing tutorials and reference sheets.
