PaintTool Sai is around $50 I think. I want the program as well. D :
I use photoshop and gimp for my graphics. I always draw a sketch (which is always terrible because I can't really use tablets to draw) and then I do the lineart after.
For a beginner with tablets, you have exceptional talent. The oldest picture on my computer is from a year or two ago when I drew in MS paint connecting lines purely tabletless. I learned to color with a laptop mouse. Until recently, I was bad at coloring.
Speaking of which, I have never used an internet based drawing program. I must try it sometime.

i have corel but i dont like it
at first when i used my sis's tablet, my digi sketch was very scribbly
but mine is really smooth
i think it just depends on the tablet
RMD and sketchpan are the only online drawing sites i know (that are actually good) they are definitely fun! you can see how you draw through that. and its fun looking at how other artists do their work too

I have never used corel so I wouldn't know how to work it.
The quality of the art really depends on the tablet and hand-eye coordination. I have a cheaper tablet that works only if the cord is bent a certain way.
When I draw with my tablet, I have to draw a certain way or my stuff doesn't look right. D :
I should try one of those sometime. It sounds really fun. ^ ^

My cosplay is going to range from 160-240 dollars depending on who I go as. As far as who I'm going as, I have yet to choose. I have three characters to pick from.
It takes a bit of practice to get used to drawing with a tablet but I can do it.
It was my so called "broken tablet" that wasn't broken. It takes a few minutes to adjust the cord and then I can't shift my laptop or tablet after or it disconnects. DDX

I only get money during my birthday and Christmas and at both times I get around 170$ so I decided that I was going to save my money.

I do too but after total outfit research, it will cost a lot. Though, if I substitute shoes, it brings the cost down a lot. ; D
My birthday is in two days so that means I shall be getting the outfit ordered at least by the end of September and I might (even though a very slim chance) end up with Paint Tool SAI or a new Tablet.

The shoes were 56$ but that brought my cost up to 202$ so I could afford it but, many people sub the shoes.

On top of that, after staring for months at my drawings and lack of improvement, I found today, that in all my work, I could see what was wrong. So in a sense, I can finally see how to improve. ; D

It took a while before I noticed and then one day everything didn't seem right. That's also due to the small changes I keep making. I always try to improve but lately it's been getting harder. D :
My improvement progress has been low because I'm at a level where it's hard to improve.
I also am dead set on being an artist or the likes when I'm older and I have a never ending love with art so my enthusiasm comes from nowhere. I also draw while I sing to music playing rather loudly.

I keep changing things which is making my improvement easier. Between rounding off chins, body shape, placement of eyes, adding a nose and mouth, and posing the drawings to work with my non-formulated madness, I'm slowly improving. D :
As far as coloring, I would love to guide you but I don't think the way I color would match your style.
I've used my tablet to much for a month. My hand stiffens and clamps up if I spend more than 6 hours drawing without a break.
I'm also ready to cry because of how badly I want paint tool Sai. ; - ;

yeah definitely! a lot of amazing artists here uses paint sai; and its really recommended by lots of people too
i'd love to get my hands into one of those too! i only have corel painter for now hopefully i can use that until i get (hopefully) SAI and i still need to pratice those layers T_T

I can draw/color for many hours straight. I usually forget to take a break. I don't know how I can stay so focused.
Well I wanted to test Sai out to see if I liked it so I am trailing the software. I really want it. D :
For now I have photoshop CS3 and I have managed to devise a crazy CG method which works. ; 3

Lol. I don't usually trial software but since my tablet is being a good tablet lately, I decided to trial it. Graphic software isn't too confusing for me though cause I'm used to it.
I really want to purchase it. I'll probably buy it after I get my cosplay.

I draw for fun and for my future. My enthusiasm seems to be rising as well because I know how to get better (but I'm stuck in a bottomless pit because my art is coming out as all scraps lately)so I keep practicing.

I love designing the clothes for my OC's and stuff. Though I have eradicated almost all of my OC's in existence.
Well, my eyes really changed for the better. Nothing of mine looks right anymore. Though I'm still trying to get better (with a now burning desire) because when I draw on my tablet, I can't draw on paper well after so now I have 1100+ drawings in a scrap pile. D :
I hate architecture. I can draw it well, but I don't have the patience for it.
Though, when it comes to backgrounds, I just add grass, water (which I can't do), clouds, hearts, suns, moons, beads, cloth banner things, maybe a chair, or anything symbolic that matches the theme of the picture.
