This is a self portrait for an Art project. The topic is ‘Solitude, Loneliness and Despair’. I looked quite alot at anonymous/anonymity featuring masks as these are often seen as quite frightening such as in horror films/not knowing who or what is behind the mask. It’s funny because people often feel alone and scared when they’re in the dark however, in this image, I am the only person in the dark and I am the frightening looking one. This is to show that fear is only an emotion that we create making ourselves feeling vunerable even though there is nothing to feel vunerable about.
