Description After Versailles, the German Empire was abolished, and the Allies, over French objections, used plebiscites to determine the future of Posen, West Prussia, East Prussia, Upper Silesia, Schleswig, and Alsace-Lorraine.

In Alsace-Lorraine, only two counties - Chateau Salins and Metz, voted to rejoin France, and there was a large amount of suggested fraud in this.

For Schleswig-Holstein, the Schleswig Landesteil vote not county-wise, but by community (village/town) (see: www.nccg.org/preussen/schleswi… ). This resulted in a much more accurate ethnically divided border in the north. (This border needs to be cleaned up with Photoshop or something more than MS Paint)

In West Prussia and Posen, the Polish majority regions voted for Poland, while the German majority regions voted for Germany.  The remnants, here shown as dark gray, are organized into the province of Posen-West Prussia.  Danzig is a Free City for 10 years, after which they can vote to join Germany or remain independent.

Formerly part of West Prussia, Marienwerder and the eastern counties of West Prussia voted to join East Prussia in late 1920.

In Upper Silesia, the majority of the region voted to stay in Germany, aside from a few counties near the border with Poland.

This Germany has a Republic and its people have largely accepted Versailles, given that the reparations are less harsh and there is no war guilt clause.

Open Request: Anyone who is better with Maps, if you can redo this version of Weimar Germany with the state and Prussian province borders as PNG in the same size, I would be very grateful.  All I have is MS Paint to do anything.  Thanks!
