Karate Man has appeared in every installment in the series to date, from Rhythm Tengoku all the way to Megamix. His original appearance on the GBA uses the flow meter, a mechanic that has since been ditched for later installments. In the DS version, he is able to punch barrels and kick away the bombs that come out of them. In Rhythm Heaven Fever, he executes a combo that takes out multiple pots and an empty barrel. In Megamix, all of his stages from previous installments appear along with two new ones. The first one is the very first stage in story mode and is considered an easy warm-up version to the ones you'll encounter later on. The other one is the last non-remix stage in story mode featuring his father who uses both the bomb kick and combo mechanics.
